Oral Surgery

Sometimes removal of a tooth is necessary because of disease, badly broken down teeth, mobility, trauma, fracture, crowding, and impactions. Quite often, wisdom teeth do not erupt properly and may be completely or partially covered by gum or bone. In general, we recommend extraction of wisdom teeth when it is difficult to obtain proper oral hygiene, partially covered by soft tissue (gum) making them more susceptible to infection and when there is bony defect between the wisdom teeth and the adjacent teeth. We offer relaxing sedation options to make the experience easier for you. Teeth that have been lost through extraction may require replacement to avoid teeth shifting, which complicates replacement.
